School Leader: Inclusion

We have an exciting opportunity for a School Leader: Inclusion to join our Inclusion Team. The Inclusion Team includes a number of specialists, including an Assistant SENCo, four teachers, four Teaching Assistants, a Student Health Co-ordinator (Thrive specialist), Counsellor, and School Health Nurse.  The Team is highly specialised in English as an additional language provision, teaching children to read, using Read Write Inc, Fresh Start in Key Stage 3, online provision for students with high anxiety through our own Virtual Hub (V-Hub) and our successful Study Plus programme in Key Stage 4.

Leadership Pay Scale L10-L12

The successful candidate will support the School and the Trust by providing leadership and strategic direction in their specialist subject.

Responsibilities

  • To lead inclusion at The Henry Box School 
  • To be an active practitioner, teaching key groups to ensure a rapid rise in standards  
  • Provide advice and support to leaders to drive the improvement of outcomes  
  • To develop, launch and drive new initiatives and innovative practice  
  • To ensure that data for vulnerable groups is used appropriately to facilitate targeted intervention, collaborative learning and effective practice  
  • To work in collaboration to improve the quality of learning and teaching across the Trust  
  • To keep up to date with evidenced based teaching 
  • To promote leadership and teaching development  
  • Analyse and review learning and teaching providing high quality reports, action plans and interventions focusing on continuous and rapid improvement

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • Qualified teacher status
  • Successful and sustained experience of teaching in KS3 and KS4 
  • Knowledge of the primary curriculum 
  • Successful track record of leadership in specialist curriculum area
